She likes to call herself a coastal girl since she has spent nearly all of her time on one coast or another. She enjoys all genres of romance as long as there’s a hot, sexy hero with something to learn, a smart female lead who refuses to compromise on who she truly is, and the promise of a happily ever after. Her characters often find themselves on a journey of discovery, struggling to achieve true intimacy while solving the real-life problems thrown in their way.
To date, Elyce has written paranormal wolf shifter romance, contemporary romance, and romantic suspense. But there’s a Sci-Fi series in there waiting to come out, and possibly an epic fantasy series – as well as thoughts on a time travel story. Her ancestors were highlanders, after all.
Elyce has a BA in Art History and a minor in Italian Literature. During college she did the traditional junior year abroad, spending one semester in the small picturesque hill town of Urbino, as well as a semester in the thriving city of Fiereze (Florence). The first time she visited Venice she decided she was going there for her honeymoon, won over by its romantic beauty. Although she had yet to meet her groom, she already had a plan to ensure romance was a part of her happily-ever-after.
And yes, she did get to the enchanted city with her prince on her honeymoon. She has beautiful memories of dancing by moonlight to a string quartet playing La Vie En Rose in Piazza San Marco.
”It was magical,” Elyce says. “Probably the most romantic moment of my life.” Of 
course, that was after the hotel reservations fell through and there was a minor adventure searching through the city for a hotel with a vacancy. Fortunately, they found Hotel Lux down a tiny alleyway, right near Piazza San Marco – the perfect location.
From a young age demonstrated a remarkable talent for convincing people to read to her. An avid reader of Science Fiction and Fantasy throughout her youth, she then discovered the Romance genre, and fell in love. Eventually this love demanded expression, and her first book, Shimmer, was the result. The rest, as they say, is history.
She lives with her husband and two children in a beautiful old colonial, complete with picture-frame moldings and hardwood floors. The house is surrounded by an extensive flower garden, and spring and summer will find her out in the yard, gloriously digging in the dirt. Winter evenings she likes to spend in front of the fire, usually working on her latest book.
Elyce loves hiking in nature, riding horses, watching wildlife, and swimming under a blue sky. She enjoys these things even more in the company of friends and family. Add wine and chocolate, and voila! It’s a beautiful life.
